Triple H and Shawn Michaels were two of the most prominently featured stars on WWE programming for years, and now they’re two of the most powerful people in the company. Shawn Michaels has been working in NXT for some time now and Triple H was recently put in charge of WWE creative following Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement.
Shawn Michaels recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about the major changes in WWE while making it clear that there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the future of the company.
“We hope now that we can put together a really powerful one-two punch between NXT and the main roster that’s going to drive WWE to even greater heights. He wants to stick to the mission statement, which is to be the greatest sports entertainment company on the face of the earth. I’m going to do everything here to help, and he’ll have the entire support of NXT. We’re all excited for the future.”
Since taking over Triple H has brought names like Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Karrion Kross and Dexter Lumis back into the fold. It was recently reported that Triple H is expected to stay aggressive when it comes to making changes to the WWE main roster. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
