UPDATE: Fightful Select is now reporting that they’ve been told reports claiming Drew McIntyre has signed a new contract are “not accurate.” It’s being said that Drew’s current deal expands past WrestleMania and both sides hope to continue working together.

We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania and there have been several exciting twists and turns in recent weeks. Over the weekend Drew McIntyre punched his ticket for WrestleMania when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Drew will now go on to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

In recent months there’s been a lot of talk about Drew McIntyre’s contract status with WWE as it’s been reported that his current deal was set to expire after WrestleMania 40. Now BWE is reporting that Drew McIntyre has signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Drew McIntyre returned to WWE in 2017 and he quickly became one of the top stars on the NXT brand. McIntyre returned to the main roster in 2018 and went on to become a two time WWE Champion.

The Scottish Warrior has been on a quest for redemption over the last few years as both of his title wins took place during the pandemic era, so he’s understandably looking to win a championship in front of fans.

One way or another it will be interesting to see who walks out of WrestleMania 40 with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stay tuned for updates.
