When James Ellsworth was released from his WWE contract it took a lot of people by surprise. He’s been featured on WWE television for the better part of a year and although he might not be featured in a top storyline anymore he was still one of the more entertaining parts of SmackDown Live.

His latest program with Carmella saw him acting like a loving puppy dog to The Princess Of Staten Island and plenty of people were gravitating toward him just due to his amazing personality. But as time goes on sometimes the most certain angles grow stale. Ellsworth started something with Becky Lynch and The Lass Kicker finished things in Manchester in an inter-gender match which Ellsworth lost.

After his loss to Lynch, Carmella met James Ellsworth in the ring and unceremoniously kicked him in the head to lay out the Big Hog. As it turns out this kick from Mella wrote Ellsworth’s character off of television.

But Ellsworth isn’t upset about the experience. Instead, he seems to be totally grateful and continued to prove the content of his true character as he tweeted out a message saying SmackDown Live will always hold a huge place in his heart. He thanked the locker room and said he’ll miss them.

By the looks of things, his co-workers will miss him a lot as well. Plenty of WWE Superstars tweeted out words of encouragement to Ellsworth as they praised him for being not only an inspiration but an amazing person at the same time.

A guy like James Ellsworth will be missed in the SmackDown Live locker room and if anything, WWE might need to consider bringing him back just for morale’s sake. After all, a guy like James Ellsworth is extremely hard to come by. But in the meantime, Ellsworth has a second life to his career as he sets out to take on the world’s independent wrestling scene one town at a time as soon as his no-compete clause is up.

Zach Gowen isn’t a current WWE Superstar, but he knows a lot about making it in WWE when nobody believed he could and he had an amazing message as well.
