Dana White is catching a lot of heat on social media right now for saying wrestling is fake. He continues to answer angry fans on Twitter and noted that his comment was a joke.
@MLPChristian69 I pissed off wrestling fans? I respect wrestling and the people who do it. I was just responding to an idiot. It was a joke

A fan also called him out for backpedaling and he said he’s not bothered by the negative response he got.
@buyinseth @MLPChristian69 u think I give a shit about negative people on Twitter? That's everyday shit. I fucking LOVE IT!!!! #ugotwrongguy

Regardless of whether it was a joke or not, Dana White is still getting a lot of heat from wrestling fans and wrestlers.
(1/2) @danawhite, "fake" infuriates @WWE Superstars, Divas & fans because the injuries are real and happen more often than they do in @UFC.

(2/2) Perhaps you could please tweet that @UFC, like boxing, costs more than @WWE because they are sports rather than sports entertainment.

"Fake" was a poor word choice by @danawhite. @RondaRousey's tribute to Roddy is a heartfelt move from the most popular fighter in the world.
