The question of who could be WWE World Champion is a debate as old as time. Well, at least it’s as old as WWE. Fans can speculate and argue who they would rather see as champion and who has what it takes until they’re red or blue in the face. But the decision is ultimately Vince McMahon’s to make. WWE recently put up a video on their official YouTube channel about who they think has what it takes to carry the weight of being a WWE Champion.

Of course, Vince McMahon might not have even seen this video or had anything to do with it. But the fact that it’s coming out of WWE’s official YouTube account gives a lot more substance to what it says.

The video lists names like AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt as examples of people who captured their first major WWE title in the time between WrestleMania 32 and 33. They follow it up by giving their opinion on who has the ability of capturing a big piece of gold in WWE before WrestleMania 34. We’re not sure if this list is a sign of things to come. But we wouldn’t complain in the slightest if any of it happened. One thing is for sure, any of these guys could benefit Raw or SmackDown greatly if they held the top belts on either show.

The list favors former NXT Champions but also included a couple that never reached the pinnacle in WWE’s developmental brand. Samoa Joe, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro are all mentioned. Of course they could be leaving some big names off their list primarily one Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. There are also a couple other names that are neglected from this list of five superstars who might capture their first major WWE Championship in 2017.

Who do you think they should have included? If you say James Ellsworth then we can be best friends.
