Samoa Joe hasn’t had the best run over the last few months as he’s been dealing with injuries, and he’s spent a significant amount of time out of the ring.
With Joe currently out of action WWE has found a new role for the Samoan Submission Machine, as he’s been working as a commentator on Monday Night Raw.
It doesn’t look like fans should expect the former United States Champion to return to the ring anytime soon, as Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Samoa Joe has not been cleared from the concussion he suffered in February.
At this point it’s not known when he will be cleared to return to in-ring competition, but WWE is not transitioning him into a full time announcer role. It’s being said that the company feels he’s too valuable as a wrestler.
