The Undertaker wrestled a brutal match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 a few weeks ago, and when it was all said and done it was Roman Reigns who ended up getting the win over The Deadman.

After the match was over, Taker put his coat and hat on, then he walked around the ring for a few minutes and took in the moment. The Deadman then took off his gloves, hat and coat and left them in the middle of the ring.

Taker proceeded to exit the ring, kiss his wife and then make his way up the entrance ramp as he descended into the stage with one arm in the air.

WWE has yet to make any sort of official announcement, but the match was presumably Taker’s last, and it may have been the end of The Undertaker altogether.

Sportskeeda is reporting that Mark Calaway not only retired from in-ring competition, but he retired The Undertaker character as well. According to the report, Mark Calaway does not intend to play The Undertaker character again under any circumstances.

That means next time we see the man behind the character on WWE programming, he may very well be Mark Calaway instead of The Undertaker.

Although it remains to be seen how much he will be working with WWE in the future, Taker has always been a company man who will surely be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame someday.

If The Undertaker character truly is retired, it would open up new opportunities for Mark Calaway to openly talk about his experience playing the character, as he’s mostly remained quiet over the course of his career.

Ric Flair had his final match in a WWE ring and the main event saw The Undertaker defeat Edge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This year’s event was monumental as well with The Undertaker having his final match this year. Word is that might be the last time fans ever see The Undertaker. […]
