shinsuke nakamura

If you were disappointed with the 4/18/17 SmackDown show because Shinsuke Nakamura didn’t make an appearance you obviously weren’t at the television taping. Since the ring was still in one piece after SmackDown this week they decided to have a dark match.

Shinsuke Nakamura took the pain to Dolph Ziggler in a short little bout. Thanks to an awesome fan in attendance we are able to see it. The contest didn’t last very long, but for a dark match it more than delivered.

Dolph Ziggler actually pulled double-duty last night. He was a part of the 6-pack challenge to determine the #1 contender for the WWE World Championship. Jinder Mahal won the match and although the reasons for Mahal’s victory might be solid, many fans would have much rather seen Nakamura come out on top. Unfortunately, Shinsuke wasn’t even included in the match.

WWE has been keeping Shinsuke Nakamura from laying down any real Strong Style moves on SmackDown to create a slow build toward an eventual match. It’s a really good idea to build anticipation toward an eventual televised match on WWE’s main roster. At this point they might just hold off until Backlash.

WWE only aired a promo for Nakamura on Smackdown Live this week. So fans at home didn’t get to hear that awesome violin music in his intro or experience the phenomenon that is Shinsuke Nakamura. However, if you made it to the SmackDown Live taping in Louisville you got more than a glimpse at the former NXT Champion. It certainly pays to come out to a TV taping.

Nakamura didn’t let the Louisville fans down either. He completed his signature moves with his well-known swagger. Dolph eventually ended up eating a Kinshasa to secure the victory for Shinsuke Nakamura. There’s a reason why he’s known as The King Of Strong Style. He hits people very hard.
