kurt angle

Kurt Angle returned to WWE last year, and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Shortly after Kurt became the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw, and he’s been in that position ever since.

But fans were anxious to see him return to the ring, and Kurt finally got his chance when he Roman Reigns was pulled from The Shield reunion match to an illness, so Kurt teamed up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose at the TLC pay-per-view last October.

Fans had waited a long time for The Shield to reunite, and when it finally happened the trio got a huge pop. But unfortunately The Shield reunion didn’t go the way anyone had hoped, as Kurt Angle had to replace Roman Reigns at TLC, and Dean Ambrose is set to be out of action for several months following his recent surgery.

It’s safe to say that fans didn’t get what they wanted from The Shield reunion, but Kurt Angle is confident that we’ll be seeing the trio work as a united force in the future.

The WWE Hall of Famer took part in a Facebook Q&A, and he told fans to be patient.

“The Shield has been dealing with a lot of setbacks and injuries. But they will unite again. Be patient.”

As we’ve learned over the years, timing is everything in WWE, and it appears that the timing just wasn’t right for the recent Shield reunion.
