Alberto Del Rio is a man who is constantly surrounded by controversy, but the drama really picked up for Alberto over the weekend. It was reported that Alberto had been involved in an altercation where he “roughed up a female companion” at the Orlando International Airport on Sunday, and some unsettling details about the altercation have surfaced online over the last few days.

Since Alberto’s fiancé goes everywhere he goes, fans naturally assumed that the female in question was Paige, and it was later confirmed that Paige was involved. Alberto and Paige got into an argument at the airport, and according to a witness who claims they saw the incident, Alberto grabbed her wrist and also made comments about Paige having cocaine in her bag.
Alberto Del Rio is currently under investigation, and Paige’s brothers have made statements on social media claiming that he’s a control freak who beats the former WWE Divas Champion.
Alberto didn’t have the best reputation before the investigation, and and the controversy is not doing GFW any favors. Alberto Del Rio is the current Global Force Wrestling Champion, but the company announced today that he is suspended until the investigation is resolved.
GFW issued the following statement:
“Global Force Wrestling has indefinitely suspended Alberto El Patron, effective immediately, until the investigation is resolved following a recent incident in Orlando, Florida.”
