Friday night Cody Rhodes challenged Christopher Daniels for the ROH World Championship at Best in the World, and when the bell rang it was Cody who had his arms raised in victory as he walked out with the gold. The title win was a big moment for Cody’s career, and it seems that the wrestling world couldn’t be happier for him.

Everyone’s been talking about Cody’s big victory, and lately people have also been talking about the possibility of SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan coming out of retirement. Bryan said in an interview that he is “working on” returning to the ring, and it was recently reported that he had some testing done in April.

The belief is that if Daniel Bryan does end up returning to the ring, he won’t be wrestling for WWE as the company won’t allow it. That means Bryan will have wrestle elsewhere, if he chooses to, and he’s already got his eyes on a title.

Bryan teased on Twitter that he may have to go after Cody’s ROH World Title, and it also seems that he’s confirmed he will be a free agent on 9/28/18.

The thought of Daniel Bryan challenging Cody Rhodes for the ROH World Title sounds pretty awesome, but at this point we shouldn’t get our hopes up, because we still don’t know for sure if Bryan will end up wrestling again. Plus for now it looks like Bryan is just trying to do a little trolling and get people talking, but we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.
