The Second City Savior CM Punk is no stranger from taking on any task. He left WWE in order to pursue his MMA dreams and he hasn’t stopped there. CM Punk recently joined the cast of MTV’s hit series The Challenge in a special Champs vs Pros season.

It is a shorter season than the usual season of The Challenge that pitted top winners of previous seasons of the hit MTV show against various pro athletes from a plethora of sports. CM Punk was one of those athletes.

Well, CM Punk lasted four episodes before he was eliminated from the show but he didn’t go down without a fight. He tried his best but the final challenge that put him out of the show was insane to say the least.

CM Punk went up against skier and Olympic Medalist Gus Kensworth in a challenge where they had to submerge their arms up to their shoulders in a barrel of frozen water for one minute and then run over to the other side of the arena and solve a huge puzzle board. They had three minutes to solve the puzzle and then they had to return to the ice water for another minute. By the end of the challenge everyone was shivering.

He tried as hard as he could, but CM Punk couldn’t pull off a victory. Then again everyone else seemed to be rooting for Gus and helping him out during the challenge. So that probably didn’t help things.

“I got eliminated and if I could feel anything it would probably sting a little bit” Punk said after the elimination. “But you know the positive of it is it’s $1000 to Paws Chicago they didn’t have prior to me jamming my hands in frozen water but all in all, it’s been an amazing time.”

CM Punk had a fighting chance of winning this one, but couldn’t come through in the end. He had previously taken out retired NFL linebacker Shawn Merriman in the second episode of the season in a challenge where he had to break a stick over the giant man’s body. He also had an epic encounter with Johnny Bananas that got everyone talking.

It was great seeing Punk on television again while it lasted. We wish CM Punk could be in every show on television, including Monday Night Raw.
