This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown took place from Toronto and Edge faced off against Sheamus in the main event. Edge managed to defeat Sheamus in what could be his last match ever, and after the show he was confronted by Imperium.
Imperium started to make their way down to the ring when Drew McIntyre made his entrance. Kevin Owens then made his return after several weeks sitting of sitting on the sidelines, and Sami Zayn came out shortly after.
Zayn, Owens and McIntyre then brawled with Imperium which led to a match between the two teams. The end of the match came when Edge hit Giovanni Vinci with a spear while the referee was knocked out. Zayn then hit Vinci with the Helluva Kick and Owens followed up with the Stunner to get the win.
Prior to his return to the ring on Friday night Kevin Owens last wrestled on the July 17 episode of Raw. He was written off TV due to a fractured rib, but it looks like he’s back. Stay tuned for updates.
