Sometimes social media can be a tough place for professional wrestlers and nobody knows that better than SmackDown Superstar Ridge Holland. Last year Ridge Holland hit Big E with an overhead belly to belly suplex during an episode of SmackDown in March, and the move took Big E out of the match as he suffered a broken neck.

Accidents and injuries happen in the world of professional wrestling, but Ridge Holland faced some major backlash on social media following Big E’s injury. Last week Sheamus & Ridge Holland faced off against Pretty Deadly in a tag team match on SmackDown, and it was later reported that Elton Prince suffered a separated shoulder during the match.

Ridge Holland once again found himself on the receiving end of some major backlash and he recently posted the following message on Twitter explaining that Elton Prince’s injury was out of his control:

“So to set people straight before they get all pi**y! It wasn’t the belly to belly…..it was a wonky landing from the pounce.

Out of my control. Wishing @EltonPrince_PD a speedy recovery.”

It seems that the negative attention may have been too much for Ridge Holland as he recently deleted his Twitter account. Holland previously stated that he received death threats due to the injury that Big E suffered, so hopefully some time away from Twitter will give him a break from being targeted by angry fans.

Stay tuned for updates.
