john cena

John Cena appearances on WWE programming are few and far between nowadays, but there was once a time when the leader of the Cenation was working his way up while trying to make a name for himself.

During the WWE Rebellion pay-per-view in 2002 Cena teamed up with Dawn Marie for a mixed tag match which saw them lose to the team of Torrie Wilson and Billy Kidman.

During a virtual meet and greet with The Asylum Wrestling Store Torrie Wilson revealed that she teased John Cena and called him a jobber during the UK tour.

“You know what? It’s so funny, I remember on that [UK] tour, that was before [John Cena] really hit it big, and I remember teasing him backstage and calling him a jobber, which is like what we call each other when we lose all the time, and I kind of pride myself on that because it was just way before — who would ever call him a jobber? No one.”

Of course John Cena went on to win the WWE World Title 16 times, and defeat some of the biggest names in the history of the business, so it’s safe to say that things turned out alright for him.
