Over the years since it launched Twitter has become a popular place for wrestlers to communicate with the world and many of them use the social media service often. Last year Elon Musk purchased Twitter and since then he’s been making some changes. Musk introduced a subscription service called Twitter Blue which allows users to purchase a blue check mark among other benefits, and today checkmarks were removed from a number of popular profiles that aren’t paying for the service.

The blue checkmark was once a status symbol on Twitter used to verify popular celebrities, but many familiar wrestling personalities have lost their checkmark following the change.

Several wrestlers have pointed out that there’s now much more of a risk when it comes to fans getting scammed by fake profiles which is unfortunately something that happens all too often on wrestling Twitter. This seems to be a big cause for concern among people in the wrestling community.

The reactions to the situation vary, but one way or another the loss of blue checkmarks has caused quite the stir on Twitter and you can see what people are saying below.

One way or another the world can sleep easy knowing that Evil Uno is still verified.
