WWF was a brand that was well known around the world for decades, but in 2002 the company was forced to change its name to World Wrestling Entertainment. Nowadays WWF is known as WWE, and the WWF logo is often blurred out when the company airs old footage that features the logo.

However, when Bad Bunny showed up on the Friday Night SmackDown before Backlash in Puerto Rico many people were surprised to see him wearing a jacket with the WWF logo on it. WWE made no effort to blur out the WWF logo which led to a lot of questions.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer was recently asked why Bad Bunny was allowed to wear the WWF logo on WWE programming and he noted that, “Basically nobody wanted to tell him not to.”

It seems that WWE makes special exceptions for Bad Bunny due to his star power, but there’s no denying that his presence on WWE programming has been helpful for both sides.

Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest at Backlash was one of the most talked about matches coming out of the show, and it got a lot of attention from outlets that don’t normally cover wrestling. It’s not known when Bad Bunny could be returning to WWE programming, but it’s rumored that the company is hoping to get him for SummerSlam.
