TNA Wrestling has gone through some major changes throughout the history of the company, and earlier this year the promotion’s flagship show, Impact, premiered on AMC. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that even with the AMC TV deal the company is still losing money, which has led to cost cutting.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Tommy Dreamer had parted ways with the company, and the Observer is reporting that Road Dogg is expected to start TNA Wrestling at Slammiversary on Sunday.

Recently there have been a number of rumors regarding TNA Wrestling possibly being sold to WWE, but PWInsider is reporting that sources within TNA Wrestling and Anthem have claimed the company is not currently for sale, and that Anthem has not been seeking a sale.

It’s also been rumored that TNA is on the market for a $30-$50 million price tag. However, Anthem sources denied the price tag and claimed it was “undervaluing” TNA as it currently exists. Sources also denied reports claiming that WWE would have first right of refusal to match any offers made to purchase TNA Wrestling.

One source claimed that the timing of the story seemed to be aimed at hurting the company heading into Slammiversary, and noted “a social media account with no track record or real following threw out grandiose statements and everyone parroted it for no reason other than to grab attention for themselves.”

It was also pointed out that Anthem declined to sell the company when Scott D’Amore tried to purchase TNA Wrestling several years ago.
