A few months ago it was reported that The New Day had parted ways with WWE after they were asked to sign restructured contracts, and the wrestling world immediately started talking about the possibility of the former tag team champions joining All Elite Wrestling.
On Sunday the annual AEW All In pay-per-view aired live from Wembley Stadium, and The New Day debuted as The New Level. Alongside Swerve Strickland they went on to win the Trios Roulette Royale as they won the AEW World Trios Championship in their first match with the company.
PWInsider is reporting that Kofi & Austin Creed didn’t come off like they were above anyone else due to their time with WWE when they were backstage at AEW All In. It’s being said that they were extremely open with how they interacted with everyone, and creatively.
According to the report Kofi & Austin Creed went out of their way to introduce themselves to pretty much everyone they could at All In, and people were beyond impressed by them.
One source noted that WWE’s loss was AEW’s gain in this case, and another source reportedly said, “They are everything you always heard about, plus more.”
