The Money in the Bank premium live event was action packed, but the matches weren’t the only thing that got fans talking. During the show a creepy vignette aired which teased the appearance of a mystery wrestler, and everyone seems to have some thoughts about who it might be.
Fightful Select reports that the working plan was for the vignette to represent Edge. The video featured references to some of Edge’s biggest rivals such as crosses for Christian, Hardy gloves, Dudley Boyz glasses and other references including gold medals which seemingly alluded to Kurt Angle.
Earlier this year Edge turned heel heading into his WrestleMania match with AJ Styles. In the weeks that followed the Rated R Superstar formed The Judgement Day, but he was kicked out of the group after Finn Balor joined and Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley turned on him.
After The Judgement Day turned on Edge it was reported that the Hall of Famer had been moved back to the babyface side of the roster. Stay tuned for more updates on Edge’s status as they become available.
