According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter there’s reportedly some concern within WWE that Sting signing with the company is no longer a done deal.
Sting is currently scheduled to work with WWE on projects for the WWE Network and other DVD projects but he reportedly still has yet to sign an official contract. Sting has mentioned that he was close to signing a WWE deal a few years which would have seen him work 100 dates for the company but he ended up not taking it. Some within WWE believe that something similar could happen once again.
Time will tell. Our take on it, why not just sign with WWE? What else does he have to accomplish with his career at this point?
Of course there have been numerous reports over the past few months that Sting had already signed a deal so truthfully it seems that the only people who know what’s going on is Sting and WWE themselves. The rest of us will just have to wait it out but for what it’s worth, Sting was teasing a WrestleMania 31 appearance during an event which took place a few weeks back on WrestleMania XXX weekend.
