Cryme Tyme had two separate runs with WWE, and even though they were quite popular, and they worked with top level talents, they never ended up winning the WWE Tag Team Titles.
At SummerSlam in 2009 Cryme Tyme challenged Jeri-Show for the belts, and JTG recently told Sportskeeda that originally they were supposed to win.
However, plans for the title change were dropped as DX wanted to feud with Jeri-Show and win the titles down the road. He also noted that there was also talk of them winning the titles from Cade and Murdoch before they got fired.
“I heard that we were supposed to win that match against Jeri-Show, but things changed last-minute because DX wanted to work Jeri-Show and win the titles, so that got nixed. Yeah, so we were actually supposed to win it at SummerSlam, and then ‘DX’ wanted the titles. So, whatever. There was another slated time when we were supposed to win the titles. I think we were supposed to win the titles in Africa or when we came back from Africa at the PPV against Cade and Murdoch, and this was right before we got fired.”
