It seems that haters are lurking around every corner on the information superhighway. Joey Mercury had a pretty good run with WWE and even after his in-ring career seemed to be coming to a close he joined up with Jamel Nobel to form J & J Security as part of The Authority when he came back after a little time in the indies.

Mercury and WWE might have parted ways in January 2017 but he will always be a part of the WWE family. He has made no secret about his personal struggles with addiction and his career has consisted of some awful and unexpected setbacks like when his face was utterly destroyed by an accidental ladder shot at the 2006 Armageddon pay-per-view.

The former member of MNM recently announced he is now offering one-on-one match reviews and feedback sessions. A coaching session from Mercury could be extremely valuable for any pro wrestler so if you know an indie wrestler and their birthday is coming up, you might want to drop Joey Mercury a line to see if he issues gift certificates.

But of course, someone had to speak up and rain on Joey’s parade. However Mercury quickly grabbed an umbrella to block the hate when the “fan” said, “if you’re that good why did WWE get rid of you?”

Mercury set the record straight in expert fashion to match the advice he could provide to anyone while watching their matches. He explained why WWE released him and went on to praise the company for doing all they could to help him. Mercury then called his hater an “impossibly compassionate soul” in a grand gesture which is a highly effective tactic in dealing with this kind of reply.
