Hulk Hogan is one of the most recognizable names in all of professional wrestling, but it’s been a few years since Hogan has appeared on WWE programming. The former WWE World Champion returned in 2014, but he was dropped by the company in 2015 after audio of him using racial slurs surfaced online.

Since then Hulk Hogan has been trying his best to repair his image, and it’s rumored that WWE could be bringing him back in the future. Hogan has been trying to convince people that he’s just as wholesome as eating vitamins and saying prayers, and he recently decided to comment on something Bill Maher said.

During a recent episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher was having a conversation with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse and Ben joked that the people of Nebraska would love to have Bill Maher work in the fields. Maher responded by telling him he’s a “house n*****” and then continued on with the show.

Social media exploded and people are calling for Maher to be fired from HBO. In response to the backlash, Maher released a statement where he apologized for using the word.

“Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show. Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment. The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.”

Hulk Hogan made a pretty questionable decision when he decided to weigh in on the controversy and he posted the following:

“ON PURPOSE and ,only an apology,,unbelievable. HH”

In the end Hogan just created more drama for himself as the tweet didn’t go over very well.
