The NXT brand has gone through some major changes over the last few years as it went head to head with AEW for some time before making the jump to Tuesday nights, and in 2021 it was relaunched as NXT 2.0.

NXT has gone through even more changes since Triple H took over WWE creative back in July, but it doesn’t seem that former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. has much love for what the brand has become. Freddie recently discussed the state of NXT on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast and he held nothing back while expressing his feelings about the show.

“Because there ain’t nothing in the world worse than that goddamn show. I’ve given it a chance like once every six weeks. I’ll go, ‘Yeah, I’ll watch a little bit of it,’ and it is absolute garbage. It went from my favorite promotion –- when it was Black and Gold -– to unwatchable. Unwatchable like a local theater production. The last two times I’ve tried, it was terrible. I really don’t like crapping on stuff unless it offends me what they’re doing to talent that I care about.”
