Triple H has been building up the NXT brand for years now, and many people have thought of NXT as Triple H’s baby. It’s clear that he had put a lot of hard work into NXT, but the brand has been going through some major changes, and earlier this week some key figures were released.
It was later reported that the releases were meant to directly remove Triple H hires from NXT as the brand continues to move in a new direction as NXT 2.0.
Former WWE star Dutch Mantell discussed the releases on a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk, and he thinks that WWE is replacing Triple H’s team because they don’t want to give him credit for NXT.
“I think they want to go their own way. They want credit for it. They don’t want to give Triple H credit for it. Because that was his team. And I think they want to start anew and if they are successful they’ll be like, ‘See, we knew what we were doing.’ But I don’t think they’re going to do it.”
It was recently reported that Triple H was building a team that he hoped to eventually bring to the main roster, and you can get more on Triple H’s reaction to the releases by clicking here.
