Wrestling isn’t for the weak, and unfortunately injuries do happen from time to time. Last Sunday Sasha Banks faced off against Charlotte Flair at the WWE live event in Fayetteville, NC and it appeared that Banks suffered an injury during the match. After the match Banks was helped to the back and it appears that the injury is legitimate.

WWE posted the following announcement confirming that The Boss will miss 6 to 8 weeks of in-ring competition due to a foot injury:

“Sasha Banks suffered a foot injury Sunday evening at a WWE Live! event in Fayetteville, NC. After seeking emergency medical attention, it was determined nothing was broken. Sasha underwent an MRI and it was discovered she has a bruised calcaneus bone. She is at home recovering and undergoing physical therapy. She is expected to be out of action for 6-8 weeks. Stay locked in to WWE Digital for the latest updates.”

With Banks set to miss 6 to 8 weeks of in-ring action it looks like she will not be able to compete at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this year. Charlotte Flair announced on SmackDown this week that she will be entering the women’s Royal Rumble match, and she will choose her opponent for WrestleMania if she wins. Stay tuned for updates.
