We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 41 and the card has been coming together in recent weeks. Some top stars will be competing for championship gold on the Grandest Stage of Them All as it’s been confirmed that John Cena will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Jey Uso will challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
One star who won’t be competing in a world title match at WrestleMania this year is Drew McIntyre, and he recently explained to Adam’s Apple that he’s not happy about the situation.
“Since I’m not in a world title match at WrestleMania, I know that in 2024, people were talking about myself and CM Punk more than anybody, and I did 90% of that work. Good for Punk for being Punk, because Drew McIntyre did the f****** heavy lifting there.
“So yeah, I’m pi**ed off to be frank. I’m not in the world title match, but I’m going to make something happen. Between now and WrestleMania, I’ll make sure there’s a big match, a compelling story people are invested in, and I’ll make sure the match is f****** awesome because I’m Drew McIntyre.”
While nothing has been confirmed as of this writing, it’s been rumored that Drew McIntyre will be facing off against Damian Priest at WrestleMania 41. Stay tuned for updates.
