Goldberg got the fans talking last year when he showed up at the WWE Bad Blood premium live event in Atlanta, GA. The Hall of Famer got into a heated confrontation with Gunther, and shortly after he announced that he would be returning to the ring for a retirement match in 2025.
Recently the former WWE Universal Champion ran into a fan, and the fan asked if he could give a happy birthday shout out to their son. Goldberg was more than happy to oblige and he even shared the video on social media when he posted the following:
“Honored to help putting a smile on a kid’s face….”
Recently Goldberg shared an update on plans for his big retirement match, and he noted that he doesn’t know exactly when it will happen, but he indicated that he’ll be returning to the ring in the summer.
“I feel like a trillion bucks. Whether it’s from the stuff that I altered my life prior or the stem cell treatment after a day. I feel like a million bucks, comparatively. You have to be logical, but it’s like you’re a racehorse again, and you’re being held in a stall, and you can’t come out for a period of time.
I have a match sometime this summer. I don’t know exactly when it is, but I know it’s coming up and I know at 58 years old I have to be in my underwear in front of everybody and I hold a very high standard of myself. I need to get to work yesterday. The long-term benefit and the benefit for me in the ring will be much more if I just calm my a** down.”
Stay tuned for updates on Goldberg’s retirement match as they become available.
