The WWE Divas Title is no more, but the belt still has a legacy all its own, and a former WWE Divas Champion recently captured gold in South Africa.
Celeste Bonin, formerly known to WWE fans as Katlyn, faced off against Katie Forbes and Black Widow in a triple threat match at the Slamforce Africa event at the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa.
In the end it was Celeste who walked out with the gold, as she won the match to become the first ever Slamforce Africa Women’s Champion.
After spending several years away from the ring, Katlyn returned to WWE in 2018 to compete in the Mae Young Classic, but she was eliminated in the second round by Mia Yim.
