Jeff Hardy was released from WWE back in December following an incident that took place at a live event, but it was later reported that the company made Jeff an offer to return. It was also reported that the offer included a Hall of Fame induction, and that Jeff Hardy declined the induction.

Matt Hardy recently discussed his brother’s WWE departure during a Twitch stream, and he revealed that Jeff turned down the Hall of Fame induction when he was informed that Matt would not be inducted with him.

“Jeff asked ‘so you want to induct me into the Hall of Fame?’ And he said ‘well let me ask you, I know you guys have spoken with AEW. Is this going to be the Hardy Boyz? Is this myself and my brother Matt?’

And they go ‘oh, no no, no, no. We can’t get Matt. He’s under contract at AEW. You know, it would just be you.’ And Jeff said ‘well, that’s a hard no.’ He definitely stood up for the team of the Hardy Boyz.”

The Hardy Boyz will be reuniting at upcoming independent events, and it’s also rumored that Jeff Hardy could be AEW bound when he becomes a free agent. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
