Vince McMahon shocked the world on Friday when he officially announced his retirement from WWE, and the wrestling community is still processing the news.
PWInsider reports that there’s a pretty positive reaction in the locker room in regards to Vince McMahon’s retirement. The news did come as a surprise as many believed that Vince would always be around. However, a lot of talents are said to be excited about the idea that there would be a new energy for WWE creative, and they’re excited to see what comes next.
The belief among younger talents is that a younger vision for the company creatively will help WWE connect better with the audience. There are also a lot of people wondering what Vince’s departure means for the other executives beyond Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Nick Khan.
Some people also noted that they wished they could have said goodbye to Vince McMahon face to face, and hoped he would be at SummerSlam so they could do just that. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
