Back in July, Vince McMahon shocked the world when he announced that he was retiring from WWE. Since then Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been serving as co-CEO and Triple H is working as the head of creative.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Vince McMahon is telling people he’s considering a WWE comeback as he got poor advice when he was advised to retire. It was also reported that Vince is currently involved in two more sexual misconduct lawsuits one of which was brought forth by former WWE referee Rita Chatterton.

Fightful Select is reporting that they’ve talked to numerous staff and talent in WWE and one person called the news about Vince McMahon’s potential comeback “exhausting.” Another talent expressed concern for the wrestlers who re-hired after they were let go undere Vince McMahon.

A higher up in the company didn’t express much concern as they noted the stock price is up, viewership is up and morale is up. That source noted that it would be a selfish move for Vince to return, but they don’t think it’s going to happen despite McMahon having voting power.

One member of the staff noted that morale has increased tenfold since Vince left and they don’t believe that he will be back. Another source added that Vince McMahon returning would be irreparable damage to the WWE brand.

After speaking with over a dozen talent, staff and WWE employees the unanimous reaction is that Vince McMahon was not wanted back in WWE.
