Over the last few weeks stars from Raw and SmackDown have been focused on proving they’re the best of the best, but this week it was back to business as usual on Monday Night Raw.
This week the Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day defended their titles against Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Business, and the match ended after both teams were counted out.
It was noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Kofi Kingston and Shelton Benjamin botched their spot, so the match ended in a double count out. The double count out was announced because the referees are instructed to call the match like a shoot.
Original plans for the match called for Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin to win by count out.
After the double count out the match was restarted, and Xavier Woods picked up the win when he rolled up Shelton Benjamin.
