While the rest of us were glued to our televisions watching Raw as the “Festival of Friendship” and Bayley’s Raw Woman’s Championship dreams unfolded in front of us, WWE fans in Oakland, California got to enjoy a Smackdown live event. It was the night after Elimination Chamber and there were two new champions showing off their titles at the event.

The women of Smackdown faced each other in a 6-woman tag team match featuring Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Nikki Bella squaring off against Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and Natalya. The faces came out on top during this encounter, but Natalya certainly got her spots in during the match.

James Ellsworth accompanied Carmella to the ring, he actually makes a pretty good valet. They should keep using him in that capacity. He’s like if Mr. Fuji and Jamie Kennedy’s character from “Malibu’s Most Wanted” had a baby.

Dolph Ziggler was in Oakland in all of his heel glory. He defeated Kalisto in a match much to the chagrin of the Oakland crowd. Although, Ziggler does still have a fair amount of supporters. After all, in today’s day and age if you’re doing a heel gimmick correctly then you’re going to still win over a portion of the more intelligent fan base.
