impact wrestling

When it comes to Impact Wrestling, the company has seen a lot of wrestlers come and go in 2017, and it looks like more departures could be coming in the months to come. The company is also going through changes backstage, and it looks like Anthem Sports and Entertainment will be doing everything they can in the new year to try and make the company profitable.

Unfortunately for some of the talents, that means they will be offered less money compared to the deals they’re used to, which could lead to some of the top names leaving.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that EC3, Bobby Lashley and Eddie Edwards all have deals that are set to expire soon, and they will be the talents to keep an eye on.

It’s being reported that going forward Impact Wrestling will only be offering new per-day contracts as opposed to the guaranteed money deals that all three stars are currently signed to. Due to the change in how pay is structured there’s a good chance all three could be leaving.

It will be interesting to see what Bobby Lashley does, as he pulled out of Bellator to concentrate on pro wrestling.

The belief is that both WWE and ROH are interested in Eddie Edwards, with WWE likely considering him for the NXT brand. WWE previously passed on Edwards a few years ago, but that was when he was working full time as a tag team with Davey Richards, and at this point they are no longer working as a team.
