Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling and you never know when one of your favorite WWE stars might get released. It sounds like one of the top stars in NXT is looking to part ways with the company as Fightful Select reports that Roderick Strong has requested his WWE release “multiple times” over the last few months.

The report notes that Strong had grown frustrated with many things over the last year, but the company has denied his request to be released. Strong, who is the last remaining member of the Undisputed Era in NXT, was pitched the Diamond Mine stable last year with the idea that it would feature Tyler Rust, Arturo Ruas, Malcolm Bivens, Hideki Suzuki and Marina Shafir. However, Strong is now the only originally pitched member of the stable.

Strong was also reportedly pitched a name change which he was opposed to, and it’s being said that there were many within the company who were surprised that he was not part of the releases on April 29th.

WWE reportedly has no plans to release Roderick Strong who is said to be factored into the company’s creative plan. Even though Strong has requested his release people in WWE have noted that he’s been professional when it comes to handling creative plans week to week.
