There have been many Hell in a Cell matches in WWE over the years. But the Armageddon Hell in a Cell match, for better or worse, is infamous. The match featured six men battling for the WWE Championship both in and out of the cell. The match saw WWE Champion Kurt Angle take on Rikishi, The Undertaker, Steve Austin, The Rock and Triple H. As you can see the match was loaded with star power.
Fans seem to be split on the legacy of the match as many feel that it was a total mess due to the fact that there was a lot going on. However there’s also a portion of the fans that loved the match. Admittedly, it is a little hard to follow because there is a lot going on. But the match is certainly special thanks to its uniqueness and the names involved.
There are definitely some gems scattered throughout the rest of the card as well. Billy Gunn and Chris Benoit battled for the Intercontinental Championship, Chris Jericho fought Kane in a Last Man Standing match and Edge and Christian won the WWE Tag Team Titles.
