History is a word that’s become synonymous with the WWE women’s division over the last few years, as the women have continued to break down walls. We’ve seen the first ever women’s Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Hell in a Cell, and Money in the Bank matches, and now it appears that we could see another first ever match for the women’s division at WrestleMania 34.

Bayley and Sasha Banks have worked closely together throughout their WWE careers, and recently it’s been teased that there’s some major tension between the two friends.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is building toward a match between Sasha Banks and Bayley at WrestleMania 34, and if it does happen it could be a big moment for both stars.

WrestleVotes has pointed out that if they do face off it will be the first time that two women have faced off in a singles match at WrestleMania not involving a gimmick, stipulation, or a title.

It may not seem like much, but a standard singles match would actually be pretty significant for the women’s division when you consider how many standard singles matches men have competed in at WrestleMania.

Of course there’s always the chance that a stipulation could be added to Banks vs. Bayley, or that it might not happen at all, but one way or another it looks like there will be many more history making moments for the women of WWE in the years to come.
