SummerSlam was an interesting pay-per-view for the SmackDown Live brand, because the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and the SmackDown Women’s Championship both changed hands. Natalya managed to defeat Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Title at the big event, but it looks like Natalya’s reign could be short-lived, because Naomi’s rematch as been announced.

Natalya was featured in a backstage segment on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, and she was confronted by Naomi. The former Women’s Champion sent a message to Natalya when she told her that in two weeks she will be getting a shot at the title in a SummerSlam rematch that’s set to air on SmackDown Live.
A huge match was also announced for next week’s episode, as Randy Orton is set to face off against Shinsuke Nakamura to determine the number one contender for Jinder Mahal’s WWE Championship.
Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal spent several months feuding over the WWE Title after Randy dropped the belt to Jinder at Backlash, but their rivalry wrapped up after the Punjabi Prison match at Battleground in July.
Jinder then moved on to Shinsuke Nakamura who unsuccessfully challenged him for the belt at SummerSlam. It’s been rumored that we could see Shinsuke and Jinder face off at Hell in a Cell, and next week we’ll find out if the rumors are true.
