It’s been painfully obvious that WWE has had plans to elevate Roman Reigns to the top spot for quite some time now. Despite the fact that he’s being pushed the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that many within the company are skeptical and don’t feel as if he’s ready for the push.

The report mentions that although the company acknowledges that he needs a lot of work as far as promos go and he doesn’t hold up that great in lengthy singles matches, they need a new top star. It goes on to talk about how Randy Orton will continue turning face but that he’s not a new star and no matter how much the fans cheer for Daniel Bryan, he will never be the top guy that WWE gets behind.

Dean Ambrose’s stock within the company has risen due to his strong performances and decent merch sales. His merch sales however aren’t strong enough for him to become the top guy. Although the company is skeptical, Reigns is still very likely to get the push for the top spot in WWE.
