Cody Rhodes is set to face Dalton Castle at ROH’s Final Battle and it looks like he’ll be bringing some new hardware along with him. The Grandson Of A Plumber unveiled the new ROH World Championship Title while he was at ROH HQ recently doing a media blitz for the upcoming show.

Rhodes said Joe Koff presented him with this gift and it’s a fine championship indeed. But the truth is Cody won’t have his name chiseled on the side of the title until he is able to defeat Dalton Castle to retain the championship at Final Battle.

Dalton Castle is a huge player in the game and could walk away with the title. His persona is both outrageous and on-point therefore, it looks like Cody could have his work cut out for him in Manhattan.

But Rhodes didn’t seem too worried about Castle as he held up the new ROH World Championship. The new five-plated title is pretty nice, but it’s a huge change from the old one so there is sure to be some amount of missing the old title until we get used to the new one.

This belt is very sweet and seems like a perfect blend of old-school and new. Cody Rhodes would make a fine champion to carry this new title but Dalton Castle probably has something to say about that.

But so far the reaction has been pretty positive for the new ROH World Championship title’s design. We’ll have to see the reaction at Final Battle, but if the new title belt’s awesome appearance isn’t enough to win over the New York crowd, then the outstanding match that is sure to follow will probably do the tick to win over a packed Hammerstein Ballroom.

No matter who carries this new title, they’re bound to look good while doing it.
