The main event for Hell in a Cell ended in controversy after the referee stopped the match, and fans voice their displeasure by chanting “AEW” and “bulls**t” among other things.
During the match Seth Rollins hit The Fiend with the stomp more than dozen times and most of the time Bray Wyatt no sold the move.
The finish has been a very hot topic on social media as fans have wondered how a Hell in a Cell match could end in a DQ, but the official idea was that the match ended due to referee stoppage.
Bray Wyatt responded to controversy by posting a gif of someone putting their hand over their mouth then shrugging.

It was recently reported that the finish was Vince McMahon’s idea, and that he initially brushed off the negative reaction, but it’s being said that he knew he messed up and went on to take the reaction seriously.
