Bobby Lashley is the current Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, and he’s set to defend his title against Alberto El Patron at Slammiversary XV in July. Lashley has been one of Impact Wrestling’s top stars for several years now, but 10 years ago he was working with some of the biggest names in WWE.
At WrestleMania 23, Bobby Lashley was selected to be Donald Trump’s representative in the Battle of the Billionaires, which featured Lashley battling Umaga who was fighting on behalf of Vince McMahon. Vince and Donald put their hair on the line, and after Bobby Lashley won the match, he helped Donald shave Vince’s head in the middle of the ring.
A lot has changed over the past 10 years, and WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump is the current President of the United States. Trump is a very controversial figure at the moment, and during a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Lashley was asked about his personal opinion of Trump, and he noted that he has nothing bad to say about Hall of Famer.
“The only personal opinion I have of Donald Trump is that he worked really well with us. He understood what it was about. He didn’t try to push his weight in there. He treated me with a lot of respect and he treated everyone else with a lot of respect.weigh in there. He treated me with a lot of respect and he treated everyone else with a lot of respect. And because of that, that match came out as one of my best matches and one of the most memorable in WrestleMania history. I have nothing but good things to say about him.”
Lashley also went on to say that the match at WrestleMania 23 was a defining moment for his career, and it proved that WWE had faith in him.
