When WWE traveled to Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble back in April, the decision was met with backlash because the women weren’t booked to be part of the pay-per-view.

The women of WWE are getting their own pay-per-view on Sunday, but WWE will once again travel to Saudi Arabia without the female Superstars next Friday for Crown Jewel

Natalya spoke to TampaBay.com about the idea of WWE bringing change to Saudi Arabia, and she seems confident that someday the women of WWE will be able to wrestle at Saudi events.

“You’re not going to change a culture overnight. I think WWE is taking such positive steps in doing positive things over in Saudi Arabia,” she said. “One day, I believe that we will be over there.”

Alexa Bliss also commented on the possibility of women wrestling in Saudi Arabia and it seems to be something that she thinks could happen in the future.

“I don’t feel like it’s out of reach,” she said. “Who knows? I don’t think it’s ever not a possibility.”

But for now, Bliss and Natalya are focused on Evolution and putting women at the forefront of the company.

“Now, you have little girls everywhere saying, ‘I want to be a WWE superstar,'” Neidhart said. “I want to be like those girls. It’s because of the movement.”
