wrestlemania 33

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that neither AJ Styles or Kevin Owens are planned to go into WrestleMania 33 as champions of their respective brands.

Current plans for the WrestleMania 33 card call for Goldberg vs. Lesnar, Triple H vs. Rollins, Jericho vs. Owens, Wyatt vs. Orton, Big Show vs. Shaq, Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax, and The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns.

It’s being reported that Bray Wyatt is indeed scheduled for a World Title run sometime in 2017. One of the plans being discussed right now calls for Randy Orton to win the Royal Rumble, with Bray Wyatt winning the Elimination Chamber match in February to set up a match between the two at WrestleMania. It was noted that if that doesn’t happen it’s because plans changed.

As far as the Raw brand matches go, it’s likely that either Jericho vs. Owens, Goldberg vs. Lesnar or Reigns vs. Taker will feature the Universal Title, but Jericho vs. Owens for the United States Title makes more sense right now because Jericho has the belt.

There is also talk of John Cena facing Samoa Joe at the show of shows in Orlando, with AJ Styles’ possible dance partner being Shane McMahon. We have previously reported the rumor that AJ vs. Shane might be in the cards and it looks like the rumor very well might come true.

Braun Strowman’s opponent is becoming harder to figure out, but it’s possible he could be the winner of this year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
