kurt angle

Kurt Angle hasn’t had much luck lately when it comes to in-ring competition, as the WWE Hall of Famer had a less than memorable showing in the Royal Rumble match, and he was recently defeated by Baron Corbin in a match on Raw.

The former WWE Champion made his way down to the ring on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and he addressed his future in the pro wrestling business.

Kurt got chocked up as he said that he accomplished everything he wanted to accomplish in his career, and then he started talking about some of the biggest highlights from his WWE run.

Kurt said the past few matches he’s had didn’t turn out the way he wanted them to. He wanted to prove he still had it, but he knows there’s one opponent he can’t beat, and that opponent is Father Time.

Angle was then interrupted by Baron Corbin.

Corbin told Kurt Angle that he should have retired during his Hall of Fame speech, and now he’s nothing but a broken down old man.

Angle challenged Corbin to get in the ring, then Drew McIntyre’s music hit.

McIntyre said Angle has no quit, and he’ll keep on showing up until someone does something drastic. He told the fans to get their cameras ready, because this is the last time they’ll ever see Angle in a WWE ring.

Corbin and McIntyre then got ready to attack Angle, but Braun Strowman came down to make the save. Angle & Strowman got the best of McIntyre & Corbin, then they ran away.

Angle seemed to be teasing retirement, but he never got to finish his speech so it appears that WWE is keeping this storyline open.

Corey Graves later announced that Kurt Angle & Braun Strowman will face Drew McIntyre & Baron Corbin tonight on Raw.
