The last few years have certainly been interesting for WWE as the company has released a number of names, and they’ve also locked down some of their top stars by signing them to new contracts.
Kevin Owens signed a new contract with WWE in December of 2021, but he recently explained to WrestleRant that before the contract was signed everything was up in the air and he wasn’t sure about his in-ring future.
“Uh yeah by Christmas time last year I knew I was sticking around. But before that, I really had no idea. I didn’t even know, honestly I didn’t even know at that time if I still wanted to be in the ring.
“You know, not because I didn’t enjoy being in the ring anymore but everything was kind of up in the air. Then I made the decision to stay in WWE and I’m certainly glad I made it because like I said, just the year I’ve experienced things that I couldn’t have imagined.”
Kevin Owens will be in action this week on SmackDown when he teams up with John Cena to face the team of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
