It’s been a tumultuous time for WWE as it was revealed on Thursday that a former WWE employee has filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon accusing him of sex trafficking and abuse. In response to the lawsuit Slim Jim has pulled their sponsorship from the Royal Rumble premium live event on Saturday.
Slim Jim has issued the following statement regarding their decision to pause their promotional activities with WWE:
“Slim Jim values integrity and respect in all of our partnerships. Given the recent disturbing allegations against Vince McMahon, at this time we’ve decided to pause our promotional activities with WWE. This decision reflects our commitment to our brand values and responsibility to our community.
We will continue to monitor the situation and base our future engagements on our values and what’s best for our brand.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is also reporting that another major sponsor who was interested in working with WWE is no longer interested. The name of the potential sponsor was not revealed.
Slim Jim got back to us with the same comment that was given to POST Wrestling about their partnership with WWE being paused (reported by @WrestleVotes) due to the allegations against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and others.

On Friday it was officially revealed that Vince McMahon has resigned from his role as Executive Chairman of TKO.
