Last week the Superstar Shake-up changed the landscape of WWE, and SmackDown Live lost several top stars. The first ever two time SmackDown Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, made the jump to Monday Night Raw, and former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James moved to Raw as well.

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James have been big players in the SmackDown Live women’s division, but luckily for the blue brand, they were replaced by a top name when Shane McMahon announced that Charlotte Flair had joined SmackDown.

Charlotte dominated the women’s division on Monday Night Raw for quite some time, and she kicked off this week’s episode of SmackDown Live by demanding a title shot. Naomi agreed to give her what she wanted, and the two ladies brawled.

Shane McMahon then interrupted and said that Charlotte has to earn opportunities on SmackDown Live, and he booked her in a match with Naomi later on in the show then announced that she would get a title shot if she could beat the current SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Both women pushed each other to the limit, but in the end it was Flair who walked away with the victory.

Naomi got the upper hand and she kicked the former Raw star in the head then followed up with a cross-body for a two count. Naomi started to show that she was frustrated. Naomi then went for another kick but she was met with a classic Flair chop. The SmackDown Women’s Champion then tried to hit the Rear View, but Charlotte countered with Natural Selection to win the match.

Charlotte Flair will challenge Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship next week.
